Training & Networking

Unbias the News provides access to free training and community building for journalists facing structural barriers, including all reporters who submitted a pitch to us, regardless of whether or not their story idea was accepted. We offer trainings in cross-border collaborative journalism and invite organizations like the Global Investigative Journalism Network, Dart Center for Journalism & Trauma, International Women’s Media Foundation and others for their expert input.

Our Trainings

Cross-border Journalism

We develop the program in collaboration with our participants. Tell us about your training interests and needs.

Are you a journalist who experiences structural barriers or discrimination based on your geography, gender, race, disability, class, caste, age or religion?

Join us to continue the conversation across borders, gain access to peer-to-peer networking and share resources, best-practices, experiences and questions with other journalists. We launched a private group within the Hostwriter network to start building a community and enable exchange around the mission of making journalism more equitable and inclusive.

You can sign up to Hostwriter via this link to be automatically added to the private Unbias the News-group. If you’re already a member at Hostwriter, please request access to the group here.
